Our Mission

As an Episcopal school, our mission it to uphold the baptismal covenant that asks us to seek and serve Christ in all persons – loving our neighbors as ourselves. We provide a developmentally appropriate learning environment that meets the needs of the “whole child” spiritually, cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically. We conduct our program at St. Martin’s Episcopal Preschool with this mission clearly in the forefront of our daily services, efforts and ethics.

Our Goals

To give children a religious foundation by making them aware of God’s love. We accomplish this through Bible stories that reinforce the child’s understanding of Jesus and by explaining the concern that the Church has for their well-being.

To enhance children’s learning through hands-on experiences, exploration, imitation, and play.

To expose children to learning techniques that incorporate music, chapel, literature, science, and motor skill development.

History

St. Martin’s Episcopal Preschool started in 1987 as a two day child-care center. In 1989, St. Martin’s Episcopal Children’s Center evolved into a licensed five day child care center with an enrollment of approximately 100 children.

The Children’s Center, now St. Martin’s Episcopal Preschool, has continued to grow steadily since its beginning and now has 18 classes and a faculty of 50.
